You are the judges!
This is all about YOU deciding who should go through to the TV shows. No judging panel, no hidden agendas, no exploitation. The songs here are written and performed by the artists themselves, they aren't puppets and it's not glorified karaoke.
As Hooky say's great music; it's not all about finding technical singers, it's about great songwriters. Some of the best song writers aren't great singers but they put their soul into it, they're passionate about their music, it's not the usual polished bullshit'
So how does it work?
All votes on the website are free and your votes create a chart which will be posted on our site and on we7.com. The top 120 songs by 31st January go through to the daily TV shows. We may also randomly select a further 30 songs that will go through as wild cards so everyone gets a chance.
The daily shows will be broadcast on SKY channel 203 at 9pm and repeated at 12am.
The daily shows are when your votes really make the difference. By voting for your favourite songs you are not only helping the artist get through to the next round, the weekly shows, but you are also donating money to the artist as they get 50% of their voting revenue! Calls and texts cost £1 (mobile network charges may vary, contact your provider) and this will help them to record new material, promote themselves and shoot new videos so your support goes to help the artists not lining a fat cats pocket.
Of course The Source takes some money but don't worry, that goes into making The Source bigger and better and ultimately providing more support for undiscovered acts.
The winners of the daily shows go through to the semi-final shows and they get to bring their fans along to the recording of the show. If you want to come down you can email us on ibelieve@bethesource.tv or contact the artist you voted for. The voting process is the same as the daily show and the highest voted act goes through to our live final.
In the live final you get to see the artists play in front of a live studio audience which YOU could be part of! The 6 finalists pay their song and the highest voted act wins £10,000 and possibly a co-operative record deal!
What's a co-operative record deal?
It's a fair deal, where the artist retains creative control and 50% of the revenue. Further details are available at www.madsheeprecords.com. So sign up to vote for your favourite songs. You can vote for as many songs as you like but only once each! You make the difference, you choose the talent, choose wisely!
