City Reign

The band formed in the late months of 2008 when song writing pair Chris Bull and Michael Grice met at a Ryan Adams gig and decided to form a band. The band name was taken from the Adam’s song “City Rain, City Streets”, with a twist on the words. Knowing a good thing to jump onto when he saw one, housemate Michael Glaze decided to buy a second hand bass on ebay for £30 and learn the basics with drummer Sam Jones joining from their football team. The band were invited to Metropolis Studios in London to work with mixing engineer Dan Parry in March ’09. Parry helped them lay down recordings of 2 songs, before inviting them back to London in October. Here the band laid down three more songs to complete their 5 track record, ‘daybreak e.p.’ The band are preparing to release a follow up single “Out in the cold” 24th January 2011
